Nation's Oldest Air Charter Management Company Celebrates 25th Anniversary Author: CAWilson
ALBUQUERQUE--In 2004, CSI Aviation services will mark a milestone as it celebrates 25 years in business. Since its inception in 1979 by Colonel Allen Weh, CSI has grown from five to 30 employees. Their loyal staff oversees CSI's wide range of air charter services, encompassing over $40 million dollars in sales annually.
In addition to actively developing relationships that put the customer first, CSI's reputation for efficiency, integrity, customer service and availability (you can arrange an air charter 24 hours a day, seven days a week) has made it the leading choice for clientele in the entertainment industry, many multinational corporations, several federal agencies and the NCAA.
By having access to thousands of private aircraft, which in turn facilitates transportation for corporate businesses as well as airliner travel, CSI is also able to represent 12 major air carriers. They even service the Department of Defense for military transportation.
For any customer, whether it’s one person to groups of thousands requiring multiple air charters, CSI can support the requirements of even the most demanding customer.
Says CSI COO Chip Parker, "Over the past 25 years, CSI Aviation Services has become synonymous with experience and the highest level of customer service, and we extend our thanks to all of our clients, partners and vendors for 25 great years."
CSI can accommodate virtually any special request that adds value to corporate flights including customized logo headrests and napkins, special foods, open bars, china service, etched glasses, specific magazines and newspapers, hot towels and employee gifts.
This complements the basic fact that with air charter travel, travelers save travel time and enjoy luxuries often not available on commercial flights. Flights are normally direct, giving a company more choices regarding departure and arrival times.
The brief, 25-year history of CSI’s dedication to service and entrepreneurship demonstrates its dedication to creating many initiatives, all with the customer in mind:
1983 Creates a department that handles both airline and military services for major and supplemental U.S. carriers.
1997 Begins offering cargo services to companies and freight forwarders—something now offered as a supplemental
service to its customers.
1998 Begins including aircraft leasing and maintenance for special requirements. Also provides organizations with dedicated aircraft of any type on a fully maintained basis, with option to include crews for short or long-term leases.
2002 The Charter Rewards Program created to reward repeat customers.
2003 The Global Charter Center Program created to assist corporations in the management and centralization of
worldwide air charters.
Martiz' Pinnacles of Excellence Program has recognized CSI for four of the five years that the program has been in existence; RosenbluthTravel Services, recently acquired by American Express, has branded CSI an excellent business by naming them a preferred provider in the air charter industry.
Since it’s founding in 1979, CSI has sought to maintain good relationships with Part 135 and Part 121 operators and was recently named one of New Mexico's largest privately held companies via the ‘Private 100’ list.
