Requests for Charter Jet Service for Business Managers Soaring

Author: CAWilson

Waiting in line, missing a flight, squeezing into a crowded, tight space, and having no place to work efficiently—yes, this sounds like a typically uncomfortable flight for many a business flyer in the world today—but that’s about to change, thanks to new jet charter companies bursting onto the scene.

For instance, managers at the firm of J&T Financial are now meeting clients and partners via the new Embraer 135BJ Legacy Executive aircraft—a deluxe charter jet that boasts leather seats, a personal DVD system for all travelers, plenty of conference space, a phone and fax machine.

J&T spokesman Petr Malek states that “one of our clients owns a [new] plane that our top managers can use to make business trips around Europe, and [it] will be capable of trans-Atlantic flights."

As you can tell, these specific requests for speedy and easy flight amongst top-level managers are causing the private charter jet business to explode in growth.

Tomas Karhanek of Silesia Air, a provider of charter jet services in the Czech Republic boasts, "though the market in this country for jet charters is small, it is growing quite quickly."

Arthur Bradley & Smith, who recently bought the Embraer for $21 million, is the jet charter transport company (and client) whom J&T rents their private planes from. ABA Air is mulling the thought of buying its own business jets in the future as well.

"The company wants to specialize in response to increased demand for charter flights," said Eva Lukacova of ABA Air.

Despite charter flight company Time Air’s president Martin Prazsky’s statement that competition in a market with about three charter flight operators is tough, he does advise that Time Air has beefed-up its flight schedule to not only include additional flights, but to also improve the quality of its service. This is good news for the client! Their services will include waiting for the client at an airport and serving catered food and drink on flight.

Yet in the face of this monumental growth in business jet charters, Czech Airlines officials still maintain that these private-jet operators are not yet taking a bite out of their business travel market.
