Light business jet aircraft

Author: Advance Info

Aircraft in the light jet category are best suited for flights less than 1,500 nautical miles. With the ability to travel ranges less than 1,600 nautical miles fuel stops are required to complete your travel destinations. There are a number of light aircraft models flying in the different countries of the world. Some most preferred and popular light business jets are:

Learjet 35: The popular Bombardier Learjet 35A is the performance and flexibility leader in its class. Combining its potential to operate with full seating and maximum fuel capacity from runways shorter than 3,500 ft (1,067 m) with its unsurpassed ability to climb to 43,000 ft (13,106 m) at maximum takeoff weight in 20 minutes, it offers freedom from turbulence as well as airport and airspace congestion. Flying faster than any aircraft in light jet category, the Bombardier Learjet 31A routinely flies at 45,000 to 47,000 ft (13,716 to 14,326 m) while offering the lowest operating cost per nautical mile of any transport category business jet.

Cessna CJ1: If you need to go further and carry heavier loads trust the CJ1. And it does it with remarkable fuel efficiency. You simply can’t find more all-around performance for the price in any other factory-new turbine aircraft. The CJ1 provides remarkable mission flexibility. Its runway performance lets you get in and out of airports as short as 3,280 feet at maximum takeoff weight. And its trailing-link gear ensures cat-soft landings on even the roughest of runways. The CJ1’s ranage is 1,475 nautical miles (2,732 km) with full fuel and 45-minute reserve, maximum takeoff weight with a cruise speed of 380 KTAS (704 km/hr), 35,000 ft (10,668 m) at 8,900 lbs (4,036 kg).

Beechjet 400: The Raytheon Beechjet 400 light business jet first flew in 1990 and there are more than 700 Beechjet aircraft in service worldwide. The 400A business jet provides seating for eight passengers. Maximum range with a four-person payload is more than 1,400nm with IFR reserves and maximum speed is 538mph. The aircraft is equipped with two Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D-5 axial flow turbofan engines with optional Nordan thrust reversers. The engines are each rated at 13.19kN (2,965lb) take-off power. The business jet variant has a fuel capacity of 2,775 litres.
