Tourism industry in countries like India is experiencing a boom, thanks to the Chartered flights that are playing a major role in boosting tourism. A spurt in the number of charter flights, especially during the peak holiday season of December-January is expected to reduce the pressure on scheduled flights. However, now with the government giving chartered flights the freedom to use any airport in the country, travel costs are set to become more economical. If handled properly, chartered flights can give a big boost to the tourism in the country by bringing in more tourists. Tourists from countries such as Russia, Europe and Africa will prefer chartered flights as they provide them economically viable options. Travel agencies like Cox & Kings are gearing up to take advantage of the new liberal regime to woo more traffic from the U.S., Britain and Japan.
