Company Adds Private Charter Option Author: Originated from Travel Weekly
ALEXANDRIA, Va.--Vacation.com added a unique niche player as a preferred suppler--Blue Star Jets, a private-jet company that enables agents to book private flights for leisure or corporate clients as late as five hours before travel time--for a commission.
Vacation.corn believes access to the Blue Star product will help corporations save money and aid the group's members as they pursue the corporate market, said president Dick Knodt.
Although private charters can be notoriously expensive, the service is within reach of some high-end leisure groups and individuals.
Sample product/price quotes follow:
* For the vacationer, New York to Bermuda on a 14-passenger Gulfstream jet, $2,285 per person.
* For a business trip, New York to Los Angeles on a seven-passenger Lear jet, $4,285 per person.
A variety of fixed-wing and helicopter aircraft are available. Related Articles
