Chartered Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Stansted Airport Author: Originated from Airline Industry Information
A Monarch Airlines charter aircraft made an emergency landing at London-Stansted Airport in the UK this morning (16 November) after the pilots reported engine trouble.
The Airbus A321 had taken off from Luton Airport bound for Tenerife but soon afterwards the pilots informed air traffic control of a problem and requested an emergency landing.
Fire and rescue crews were on full alert but the aircraft landed safely and none of the 219 passengers were injured.
A Stansted Airport spokesman said that arrangements had been made for the passengers to continue their journey on another aircraft. Related Articles
