Author: Originated from Airline Industry Information

Tower Air, which suspended operations after running into financial difficulties, has indicated that is re-entering the market.

The carrier will resume flights from New York to Trinidad and Tobago with charter services commencing on 17 June, with the flights operated by New Age Air Services through March 2001.

Meanwhile, Tower Air is also in the process of negotiating charter services from New York to Tel Aviv, Israel.

Tower Air filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February and a spokesperson for the carrier told Daily News, 'Our charter build-up is getting us started on the road to recovery. Ultimately, we hope to evolve into scheduled passenger flights, but our immediate goal is to come out of Chapter 11.'
