Chartered Flights Between Las Vegas, Colorado Springs, Wichita, and Fresno.

Allegiant Air, which operates daily scheduled jet service linking Las Vegas with Colorado Springs, Colo., and Fresno, Calif., is acquiring two more MD-83 jet aircraft to serve the carrier's growing charter and scheduled service business.

The 164-seat planes will increase the Allegiant fleet to five jet aircraft, including three MD-83s and two MD-87s.

Last month, Allegiant began operating nonstop flights between Las Vegas and Wichita, Kan.
