Start-up Jet Charter Carrier to Launch Services from Midamerica Airport

Start-up carrier Air Florida Airways is hoping to acquire a USD150m municipal bond issue to launch services from an airport near St. Louis.
The carrier - which will become the only commercial tenant at MidAmerica Airport in Mascoutah, Illinois - is planning to introduce low-fare jet services to selected US cities from the five-year-old airport around 1 June 2003.
Air Florida Airways will also provide cargo and charter services at the airport, reported Reuters.
